About Roadcraft

The Roadcraft system of car control has been used for over 75 years by police drivers and remains an integral part of the Roadcraft driver and rider handbooks.

Roadcraft: The Police Driver's Handbook and Motorcycle Roadcraft: The Police Rider's Handbook reflect the best of the previous editions and include the latest knowledge acquired through in-depth consultation with experts in the theory and practice of advanced driving.

Both handbooks are endorsed by driving experts and trainers. Additionally, a generous grant was provided by IAM Roadsmart towards the cost of producing the 2020 editions for which the Police Foundation is very grateful.
